Green and Raw
As I mentioned last night, I am so excited to play with a new kitchen gadget, the Paderno spiralizer. But first… some eats:

Hemp milk, watercress, vanilla stevia (a little extra because watercress is so spicy), banana, 1 scoop of Amazing Grass Green Superfood Powder

So pretty in the glass (I took a big glug before taking this picture, it's like I've got the appetite of a feral wolf)
I already discussed my dabbling in the bar scene below and I also had tons of fruit today (two bananas and two super sweet oranges). When lunchtime FINALLY rolled around, it was time for my Raw Squash Pasta with Raw Pesto Sauce!!! I am super impressed with how this turned out.

Spiralizing

I really thought the spirals were very aesthetically attractive. Very graceful. Here's the yellow squash, which seemed to spiralized better than the zuchini.

Um, a strange by-product of the spiralizing process. It, like, poops out a core of squash. I just chopped it up and added it to the bowl.

The beautiful spirals of zuchini!

The end piece, with pretty little etchings. That went in the bowl too.

Super easy to clean - I hate washing dishes, as you can see by all the dirty dishes still in my sink.

Only problem... where to store my new toy? Oops, no vacancy here, the tagine, crockpot and digital food scale live here.

I managed to stuff it in here

Time to make some pesto! This is the final product of watercress, grapeseed oil, raw pine nuts, nutritional yeast and lemon juice, courtesy of the trusty Champion juicer.

The puppy boy loves vegels. He hates having his pic taken, so this is a testament to his interest in my meal.

My yummy raw lunch
This made a filling, but very light lunch. And, I’m not sure how to put this delicately, but I’m just going to hang it on out there because it is like an issue I am obsessed with… it digested very easily.
Thank you thank you thank you Gena for inspiring me to get the spiralizer! Also, my pesto recipe is inspired by her pesto recipe (check out her recipe page). So thanks for that too.
The only problem was that since I ate lunch at 2, I was so hungry I couldn’t get full! Unpictured snacks include: Ezekiel tortilla with Trader Joe’s Valencia PB and flaxseeds (this stuff is a drug from Satan and I think I have to not buy it), Lindt 90% chocolate (no dairy added!) dipped in Satan’s peanut butter, and another Zeke tortilla with hummus.
Then Husband came home and I was so not into cooking and he made date night pizza:

TJ's whole wheat pizzer dough, yeller bell pepper, tomato sauce, 'shrooms. My pizzer was sin queso, Husband had his con queso. Raw bell peps and steamed asparagus on the side and I had a small glass of Cupcake Merlot.
And THAT, ladies and germs, concludes my food for the day. Whew! I wonder if I take pictures and post every thing I eat if I’ll ever decide not to eat something because I’m too lazy to put it up here? Hmmm.
Peace,
E.
