Satan’s Peanut Butter…

June 5th, 2009 by Elizabeth

…looks like this.

Run away!

Run away!

I have no idea why it is so addictive.  It’s roasted Valencia peanuts and some flaxseeds.  But there’s something about it… it’s a little saltier than most PBs, and the texture of the flaxseeds is very unique (almost like crunching on toffee pieces).

I bought my first jar from TJ’s in mid-April.  I polished it off nearly single-handedly (although I used tiny bits of it to bribe poor puppy boy to take his pain meds).

Poor little guy. I think he deserved some peanut butter after that run in with a German Shepherd!

I’m on the second jar and, um, haven’t shared with Husband or the dog.

Seriously, stay away from this stuff, it will only lead to ruination and despair.  I’m interested in trying P.B. Loco (they used to be lawyers, you know?) but then I might need an intervention.

Peace,

Elizabeth

haha, i have the same problem with peanut butter, its so addictive. i have to stop myself from eating it straight out of the jar all day. i will definitely try this flavor, sounds great. you should try making your own peanut butter too, its easy since all you need is peanuts and a blender.

Hi Lola! You’re my first comment! (Well, I did get some lovely comments from people with sex escort services, but it wasn’t really post-related :-) Thank you for reading!!!

I really should try to make my own PB (and I bet I can add in all sorts of yummy things way and still be way cheaper than the gourmet stuff in the stores).

Of course, if I can make my own, that might be even more dangerous than having just one little container around at a time! :-D

OMG….how is your dog! I felt so bad for him.

Hi Debi! Thanks for asking… he’s a sad sight, isn’t he? He is fine now, all recovered with a little soreness in the hind area sometimes. If the dog that attacked him had grabbed him around the throat or tummy, we wouldn’t have a doggy anymore! But luckily, our dog is a tough old bastard and he lives to see another day. :-)
