Happy Birthday Husband!!
Today, July 4th, is a very important day in history. 30 years ago today, my husband (known as Husband for blog purposes, known by other, slightly more annoying, nicknames in real life) was born.
He was a late baby (by a week or two) and his mom went to Magic Mountain in California to try out the Colossus, which had just opened. The next day, probably inspired by all that fun, Husband appeared to the world. He also emerged a roller coaster fanatic.
Husband is smart, caustic, funny, and cute as a beaver. He’s my absolute best friend and I love him so much. We have a blast together, even when we’re doing nothing more than getting jacked up on coffee and pointing out interesting things we’re reading in the news. We met a little over 5 years ago at a conference for a three-day conference law students in Nashville, TN. We met and it was literally like BOOM! My soulmate finally showed up. We didn’t stop jabbering at each other the entire weekend.
Actually, I don’t think we’ve stopped jabbering at each other since then.
Knowing Husband has made me a happier, healthier woman with better character. It was because of Husband’s example that I cut out artificial sweeteners, stopped eating chemical laden un-foods, cut up the credit card that my mom paid for, and stopped overdrawing my checking account.
Happy Birthday Husband! For your birthday I’m going to give you one day of a non-moody wife. Surprise!
Pictures of birthday treats to follow, my camera is not uploading for some reason. We’re off to have a gourmet cookout with Husband’s younger bros and parents and he is going to FISH, so he should be in birthday heaven.
Peace!
E.
